Field Team Source Exceptions

SulCom Programs

Marquette County Fire Units

The Marquette County field team will be working with the Marquette County Public Safety Access Points (PSAPs) by forwarding voice reports sourced from deployed County fire units through the SulCom backbone.  Marquette County fire unit sources will be identified as “Marquette nnn” (Example: “Marquette 123”) as assigned per Marquette County and will be accepted as valid sources for all SulCom programs in addition to Radio Amateurs who work with the Marquette County based team.

Voice comms will be mainly through the MKX W repeater resource and will always pass through “745 Relay”.  No other Relay station will be used.

Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association (MASA)

The Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association is a recognized field team that forwards voice reports through the SulCom backbone and forwards residual data per other SulCom program standards.  Unit sources will be identified as “MASA nnn” (Example: “MASA 123”); where "nnn" is a three digit number assigned to spotters by the Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association per their internal policies.  These sources are accepted as valid sources for all SulCom programs in addition to Radio Amateurs who work with MASA/MRC.

Voice comms with the Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association will be mainly through the MKX E repeater resource but will always be passed via their relay stations using tac call “91 Relay” when doing so on the backbone resources.

MidWest SSTRC

The MidWest SSTRC (MidWest) is a recognized field team that forwards voice reports through the SulCom backbone and forwards residual data per other SulCom program standards.  MidWest unit sources will be identified as “MidWest nnn” (Example: “MidWest 123”) as assigned by MidWest and will be accepted as valid sources for all SulCom programs in addition to the Radio Amateurs who work with MidWest.

Voice comms with MidWest will be mainly through the MKX W repeater resource but will always be passed via their relay stations having tac call “375 Relay”

Walworth County Weather Spotters (WalCo Weather Spotters)

The WalCo Weather Spotters is a recognized field team that forwards voice reports through the SulCom backbone and forwards residual data per other SulCom program standards.  Unit sources will be identified as “WalCo nnn” (Example: “WalCo 123”); where "nnn" is a three digit number assigned to spotters by the WalCo Weather Spotters per their internal policies.  These sources are accepted as valid sources for all SulCom programs in addition to Radio Amateurs who work with WalCo Weather Spotters.

Voice comms with the WalCo Weather Spotters will be mainly through the MKX E or MKX C repeater resource but will always be passed via their relay stations using tac call “865 Relay” when doing so on the backbone resources.

Reports from all other SulCom field teams MUST contain a valid Amateur callsign as a source.   Exceptions are not allowed.
